History of DESA
DESA – Drilling and Equipment CC was established in early 2013 by our
founding members, Mr. De Wet Botha and Saks Botha with over 40 years of horizontal coal and hard rock drilling experience starting from manufacturing and supplying horizontal rotary drilling machines for
Secunda Mines in the late 1980s.
From the early 2000s, the brothers designed, manufactured, and supplied the first and only horizontal directional coal exploration drill rigs for all major underground coal mining houses in South Africa:
